Internships are a great way of earning experience in the workplace. An internship is also mandatory for Concurrent Students.

Feeding Tomorrow Intern+ Program

​

The Feeding Tomorrow Intern+ Program is designed to connect IFT student members to a variety of professional internships and trainee programs plus (+) support the recipient with an academic scholarship (and/or) travel scholarship to attend IFT Annual Event.​​

Active Internships:

  • bioMerieux Intern+ 

    • bioMérieux is seeking a student currently enrolled in a BS or master’s degree program to begin an internship in summer 2020 at their Lombard, IL location. The purpose of this internship is to assist with the company’s AMERICAS Marketing projects, as defined with the marketing management team. This is accomplished by executing marketing tasks or projects supporting various food segment priorities.​

    • Deadline: March 20, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. (CT).

  • Merieux NutriSciences

    • Synergy Flavors is seeking an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a food science degree program to begin an internship in May 2020 at their Hamilton, OH location. Synergy Flavors is seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join their growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how Synergy Flavors runs.​

    • Deadline: February 28, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. (CT).

Summer internship through NSERC USRA

Undergraduate Student Research Award

 

USRA is meant to nurture your interest and fully develop your potential for a research career in the natural sciences and engineering. They are also meant to encourage you to undertake graduate studies in these fields. If you would like to gain research work experience that complements your studies in an academic setting, these awards can provide you with financial support through your host university. NSERC encourages qualified Indigenous students to apply for this award.

Award Value: $4500, plus organization contribution (min. $1125)
